Austin Film Festival has partnered with Austin Film Society to bring you a special screening of Jason Neulander’s Fugitive Dreams. Join us on Tuesday, June 11 at 7 PM for a special screening of Jason Neulander’s Fugitive Dreams. After premiering the film virtually in 2020, AFF and Austin Film Society are partnering together for an one-night-only in-person screening featuring a Q&A with Jason.
Fugitive Dreams is a cinematic love letter to classic and arthouse road movies. It follows two homeless drifters who set off on a strange and beautiful journey across a dreamscape America. Created in reaction to the vitriol we all experience on the internet, this film is an exploration of our capacity for grace, compassion, forgiveness and love.
“We finished Fugitive Dreams just in time for lockdown and while we got into some wonderful festivals, they were all virtual at that time. I had kind of lost hope that this film would ever be experienced the way it was intended — on a screen in a movie theater. So I’m just over the moon that AFS and AFF have teamed up to give this project its world premiere theatrical screening.”
