When you reunite with a friend, especially after years of not seeing each other, things are not always remembered the same way by everyone. Such is the case when Joe (Harry Michell, “Hijack” TV series, “Life After Life” TV series, Yesterday) and Katherine (Maddie Rice, Fleabag, The Other One) agree to meet when they are in the town they grew up in by the sea. The two actors carry on the conversation effortlessly and appear very authentic as if they were in a previous relationship. They now come face to face as if to “clear the air” and this drama has them show a range of emotions. Their performance is impressive and see their careers rising. The Sea is voiced by Daisy Haggard (Breeders, Boat Story).
Tom Hooker (In Bruges) has provided some excellent cinematography for this film and the characters as they share their memories as well as their current lives. He is talented and I look forward to viewing more of his work.
